You wouldn't believe it, Aimee, or maybe you would. But, I remember, when my brother was in Year Ten, I had to help him with the research for an assignment on eating disorders and I saw your book in the catalogue. When I saw your name on here, I thought, "Is this the same Aimee Liu who wrote that book, and sure enough it is.

I love reading stories about the families that form from Asian and European people, in fact, I wrote a story on this platform inspired by a man I knew, who was very racist, and, after his mother died, his sister, who was not racist, told him that their great-grandfather was Chinese. I suspect that his mother told his sister, and knowing his attitudes, asked her not to tell him and after she died, she couldn't keep in a secret any longer. The story is a blend of fact and fiction.
