You say that men are expected to shut up in meetings so women can talk and avoid offering explanations. The term "mansplaining" has lost some of its meaning and become synonymous with a man trying to explain a woman's perspective. I can understand why, but the term basically means that someone talking with authority on something they know next to nothing about. It can be co-opted in that men attempt to dismiss period pain, yet, paradoxically, will take to the couch with a blanket and hot water bottle claiming that he is dying when all he has is a case of the sniffles. Similarly, arrogant men have traditionally claimed that women are hysterical (hence the term hysterectomy)!

I don't follow The Good Men Project because it conducted an interview with a ridiculous doctor whom I would describe as a faux feminist. He claims that men and women cannot and should not be platonic friends and he wrote a ridiculous book about women and claimed that women are becoming more like men and hence less attractive to men! He also carried on with a load of rot about people's desires and the like. I don't want to support a project that would interview a fool like that!
