You have to be a US citizen to vote. You grew up on Chevrolet, baseball and apple pie (apple pie is originally from England, by the way) and what is forgotten there is this, after the Second World War, some of the Chevrolets, Fords and Chryslers, and even later, Toyotas and Hondas, that Americans drove around in were at least in part assembled by post-war immigrants from Italy, Poland, Greece, Germany, Latvia and other countries, who arrived in the USA not with $250,000 but the clothes on their backs, a wife, a suitcase containing all their worldly chattels and an infant in their wife's arms and little command of English. They made the USA their home.

Patriotism is NOT blind loyalty to a President; patriotism is loyalty to the land and its institutions, such as the Constitution, the arms of government and checks and balances. A President who wants to abolish the department of justice and exact revenge on those who do not swear loyalty to him is NOT a patriot! That is a DICTATOR! There was a dictator 90 years ago, who had people take the oath that they consecrate their life to him. And when that dictator was hiding in his bunker calling for a scorched earth policy, and one of his henchmen protested, was not interested in the people his henchman was standing up for. When the Russians were marching into the capital city, that dictator married his mistress and shot himself in the head rather than be taken prisoner.
