WHY TRUMP WOULD BE AN UNMITIGATED DISASTER.

I know the US operates on a different system to Australia, but often I hear people complain about “bloated, overpaid bureaucrats,” or that, “The Health Minister has a Bachelor of Arts,” but what people don’t realise is, no elected politician is completely across any and all portfolios that they don’t need advice. And an American President is no exception.

The civil servants are there to provide advice to politicians, even if that advice is not what they want to hear. Any president who wants to sack a bureaucrat who doesn’t agree with their agenda is not fit for the role. And that is not a democracy, it is a totalitarian dictatorship. A trump dictatorship will mean that feasibility studies will be threatened as what he says will go, even if it’s totally wrong.

Some of his supporters say that he doesn’t want yes people but that’s exactly what he wants. What some don’t understand is that the “commander in chief” of the armed forces need not have had any military service, and that if a General is unable to overrule a bad idea by the commander-in-chief, there could be serious problems!

Heaven help the US if a megalomaniac such as trump is elected.
