When I was in Year Ten, a man came to my high school and performed The Merchant Of Venice and during it, a few students were talking. I felt ashamed when, the following Thursday, on assembly, the English Head Of Department stood up on assembly and said, "He stopped and said, "Some of you are used to watching that box in the corner. When you are watching that box, you can talk. For a live performance, it is very distracting to have people talking while you are trying to act."" The performer was correct.

My father worked with a man who used to shave, shower and brush his teeth daily, and he never looked like he needed a haircut or had just had one, but he didn't wash his clothes. Well, he most likely wore a clean pair of underpants and socks everyday, but he wore the same clothes until they fell to pieces and then he got another set. One night, a car had come in and was on the wharf and the security guy said, "Well, you'll have to shift it." It wouldn't start, so the man who didn't wash his clothes said, "I'll give you a tow." And he tied a rope from the front of the car to the rear of his truck and towed it to the yard. My father was in the car and the rope snapped and the truck driver didn't know until he'd gotten half a mile down the road and he reversed and said, "I was wondering where you'd gotten to."
