Well said! One thing. and I know it's probably an American thing, that annoys me, is, in Australia and the UK, when a medical student graduates, they are given the degree MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) and an MD is a postgraduate qualification. In America, people will say, "So and so had his MD in his hand," when so-and-so was educated in Australia and had an MBBS in their hand. I know, in the Philippines, a medical graduate is given an MDBS.

I have said to my GP that if I needed to see a psychologist, our options are limited to Professor Tony Attwood or Dr Michelle Garnett, as it is imperative for an autistic person to see a psychologist who understands autism and works WITH the autistic person not against them.
