Well, sadly for the man with the Chinese Great-Grandpa, he became more racist and denied his heritage. If you said anything to him about it, he wouldn't talk to you. He treated his great-grandpa like he was the station cook who didn't mix with the family.

I wasn't unhappy at finding that I had some Scottish heritage, but I was more joyous at finding that not all of my heritage was Anglo-Saxon. I have long felt wrong about being white, and one of life's mysteries is, this man had Chinese heritage and hated it, yet I don't have any known Chinese heritage (I know one of my great-great-grandfathers was a sea captain and he went to Africa and Asia) yet feel an affinity with Chinese, Japanese and West Indian people.
