Well, I have read stories about some gay men in Asian countries who belly dance, and I saw a parade in Hong Kong where lots of women and one man (I don't know if the man was gay) belly dancing. The man was dressed in Turkish male genie attire.
I remember reading a story about a female belly dance teacher in Brisbane, Australia, in the city newspaper, that women would come to beginner classes in sweat tops and sweat pants, but after a few sessions, they'd swap them for belly baring tops. Some women have said that their husbands find their belly dancing alluring, once they show them what they do at home. Another belly dancer said that belly dancers have been considered, amongst some cruder men, to be the prize exhibit at a buck's night (I have never been married, but I have long said that if I wanted to get married, I did not want a buck's party), but that belly dancing is really an art.
