WE MUST STAND UP TO RFK.

2 min readApr 24, 2025

They say that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and I have to say that when it comes to electing leaders, sometimes those who elect despots are those who share the hate that the despots have and believe that the despot will look upon them favorably. This is usually only the case until they fall foul of the despot. Hans Frank was on record as saying, “And we love you, Our Fuhrer,” yet when he annoyed Hitler with a broadcast, Hitler removed him from his positions, but he refused to go.

Those who supported and elected Trump are like the privileged ones who supported Hitler. Hitler enjoyed punching down on trade unionists, socialists, communists, Jews, and the disabled, to name a few. Now, the US has a Secretary for Health who has no health qualifications using hate speech towards Autism and Autistic People. RFK has completely ignored the fact that the rate of autism has not increased, but the amount of knowledge about autism has. Hans Asperger’s work wasn’t uncovered until 1981, by a British doctor, Dr. Lorna Wing, and the term Asperger’s has now been absorbed into the umbrella of autism.

Autism does not destroy families. What can destroy families is attitudes towards autism, like if one parent is harsh and one parent is soft. There have been autistic people who have been shielded by a protective parent and the other parent is pushy and frustrated by the protective parent.

When RFK said that Autistic People wouldn’t pay taxes, what does he assume that Autistic CEOs pay to the government? Dowries? What does he assume an Autistic person who pays an indirect tax on a purchase pays? When he says that they wouldn’t write poems, what does he think a poem performed to music is? It’s a song. There are autistic musicians and poets. He is judging autistic people by their usefulness to capitalism, not their extrinsic and intrinsic value as human beings! If all lives matter, then autistic lives matter.

He claims that they’ll know the cause of Autism by September. They won’t. He will just push quackery.

For many of us who have been bullied and harassed and assaulted, a cure is NOT what we want or need! We want acceptance, and RFK makes us feel as though we are being bullied all over again! And the only way to deal with a bully is to stand up to them. RFK needs to be treated like another infamous eugenicist in history. The one who was annoyed by Hans Frank’s broadcast.
