Under the most appalling government in Australia's History, they had the despicable Operation Sovereign Borders, which involved boat turn-backs. Malcolm Fraser, who was the last decent Liberal Party PM we had, had John Howard, the second longest serving PM, as his Treasurer, and Malcolm Fraser allowed boatloads of refugees from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to come to Australia. John Howard asked if we were really going to take them (he's a racist) and Malcolm Fraser said yes. Howard copied the Australian equivalent of MAGA people.

The Liberal Party wouldn't allow boat arrivals to land and allow the people to settle in Australia. The despicable Dutton was extra hardline on it, as was his predecessor, Morrison.

I believe that Dutton should be charged, hopefully convicted and imprisoned for his actions.
