This is so true and relatable. I remember, when I was going into high school and we were about to go into the Home Economics block, my mother said to me, in a harsh undertone, "Don't you dare talk about wanting to do Home Economics unless you want to have an operation to be a girl." I haven't been able to tell her that I'm taking a T-Blocker and using estrogen gel and am transitioning.
