Think of this as a fictional story with a moral. A white man is taking his seat in Economy Class beside a woman of color. The man calls out to the flight attendant and she comes to him and asks what's wrong. He says he wants to be moved as he doesn't want to be seated next to someone "like her". The flight attendant goes to the front of the plane and checks, and comes back and says to the man, "Yes, I've just checked and there is a seat available elsewhere so you don't have to sit beside someone "like her." He smiles. "Would you like to come with me, Ma'am?" and she leads the woman of color up to First Class.
