The ridiculous doctor who claims that men and women cannot be platonic friends is vehemently opposed to antidepressants. I am glad that I didn't see him for my depression (I had the misfortune of seeing him for what he wrongly described as a "non-descript chest condition" for which he prescribed beclomethasone at a dose that he said I would notice a difference within the next day, and the difference was nausea, head-spins, light-headedness and the rest) as I would probably be dead. His beliefs regarding depression are a nonsense. I have been on antidepressants for 17 years and they have saved my life.
