The hotdog stand conjures up images of the New Radicals' videoclip of "You Get What You Give" after they've knocked down the well-dressed woman in the black skirt suit and dressed her up as a shop assistant and there's all those people demanding donuts and the like and that dude who puts his head under the soft-serve ice cream dispenser and eats the ice-cream despite getting most of it on his antrum and chin. Everyone is wanting to be first and she is feeling stressed. I was a shop assistant in a supermarket when I was 17-18 and it was extremely stressful. The service supervisors told me I was too slow with my scanning but they didn't know was, I could hear other machines scanning and I needed to make sure I wasn't missing things out.

I remember a manager telling me that I was the best mannered person on registers and another said that a lady rang up and gave me a nice compliment.
