One thing that is important to point out is the difference between being lonely and being alone. You can be lonely in a room full of people and happy by yourself. I am in the latter category.
I vehemently disagree with the ridiculous doctor that men and women cannot be platonic friends, but I do say that rather than threatening a relationship, if a man is in a relationship with a woman and he shares his intimate secrets with another woman, he's in the wrong relationship. I also say for the ridiculous doctor, that you cannot force a relationship to work and that cutting other friendships off is not the answer.
I am autistic, and if I wanted to be in a relationship, it would need to be with an autistic woman. And probably a bisexual woman. I don't have a lot of male friends.
