One of the most ignorant comments I heard was from a judgmental, older male in his 60s, who claimed that when it came to domestic violence, once is bad luck, twice okay, and a third time victim blaming. Predatory men are on the lookout for DV survivors because they believe that if they've endured it before they can endure it again and they're vulnerable.

Some older men who chase much younger women do so because of the so-called midlife crisis, but some of them resent older women, particularly those who've divorced such men, who may have advised the younger women that they don't need a partner to be complete.
