One of life's fallacies is that being a vegetarian is healthier than being an omnivore. Okay, if you have bacon for breakfast, red meat for lunch and red meat for dinner with few vegetables, you are not eating a healthy diet, BUT, veganism can cause iron deficiency, osteoporosis and the like, if you don't have a good source of iron or calcium in your diet. Some might say, "Oh, but I eat spinach," and that's fine, but you have to eat a plate of spinach to get the same amount of iron as you do from a piece of scotch fillet steak. Red meat a couple of times a week is a good source of iron.
