Okay, if I clean the kitchen, I go, dishwasher first, washing up in the sink second, wiping down the benchtops third and the rubbish last. If someone asks me to do the sink first, I say, "No, I can't." When I was younger and would clean a car, I would vacuum the inside first, wash second and clean the windows last. And if I polished and shone it, I would say, polish first, shine tires later. Why? Well, getting the dirt out of the interior if you spill anything on the paintwork, you can wash it off. My mother used to annoy me because if I cleaned a car, I would start at the roof and go down, she would start at the bottom with the belief that the dirt from the top would slide off. If you polish it, the dust from the polish can land on the tires, and it can stick to them.

The sequence CAN count as a pattern depending. I say, sometimes two people can do the same things in a different order and get the same result. Sometimes, things must be done in a set order. For example, if a mechanic changes the oil in a car, they have to warm up the engine, remove the oil filler cap and then the sump plug. The first is to make the oil easier to drain. Draining a cold engine takes longer.
