Not to be nit-picking but Otto Hahn discovered that U-235 atoms could be split and then released tremendous energy and he warned Roosevelt of the dangers to the world if Nazi Germany succeeded in harnessing it into an atomic bomb. Interestingly, around half of the scientists, including Oppenheimer, were opposed to the use of the atomic bomb militarily.

I view Albert Einstein as a great man. Like him, I had talents in two areas (history and Japanese) but struggled with math. Once I had some tutoring in math, my marks improved across the board.
