Non-binary is NOT bullshit! If anything, gender roles are bullshit! I remember my mother saying that she would have thought it a bit unusual if a man and a woman were married and the man liked baking cakes and did the cooking while the woman mowed the lawn.

This is something else you need to be mindful of. I remember, on January 2, 1990, we had a brand-new car and took it for a drive. My brother said, "There's a lady with hairy legs." And when we went past them, he said, "Oh, no, it's a man with long hair." For many transgender people, starting hormone therapy gives them the confidence to dress as the sex they identify with. As in, they take female hormones and once they develop more around the hips, they feel more comfortable wearing hipsters!

If you respect people. you also respect their pronouns. It's almost like if you meet Robert Brown and he asks you to call him Bob. Do you call him Robert? Or, if you find out that your boss is Wilbur Edward Jones, and he asks you to call him Ed.

One thing that I think society needs to do is get rid of the gender roles. If a cisgender man is happier cooking than working in the yard, so what? And if a person says they are non-binary, show some respect and use their correct pronouns. A person's life may be an open book but that doesn't give you the right to choose the chapter from which you want to start reading!
