My sister-in-law sometimes, and I don't think she realises this, it annoyed last year when she takes the mickey out of me when I say I have tasks to perform. For example, I was annoyed last year when I had to take my father to hospital, and my plan was that I'd leave him at the hospital, as planned, at 5:30am (the hospital initiated that not me) and then I'd come home and do the laundry before my mother's caregivers arrived to give her a shower, and then I'd make the caregivers a cup of coffee. What happened was, my sister-in-law decided to take the day off work, and she came over with my brother and their kids, and I had to put up with them deciding to mow the lawn (I protested that I had a line with wet washing on it, but that was dismissed) and cut the edges and trim back some plants. And, I had the noise of the kids. I have mentioned that it's easier if they can do some of those tasks (I like doing the washing) when they know I'm going to be out. I had a meltdown two weeks before Christmas because I had to go and see a doctor and my plan was to have a shower, have breakfast and go, but my sister-in-law, brother and their kids were over. The house was noisy, my sister-in-law had unloaded the dishwasher and put everything away in the wrong places, and I couldn't find anything! I needed to be out after I'd seen the doctor, as the noise was stressing me out. (they'd decided to declutter).
