It's not as cut and dried as that. I have seen cases of Chinese teenage girls who might insert blue contact lenses and dye their hair blonde and they are emulating Western women. They can follow Western culture, they can adopt Western ways, but they can't alter their DNA to become Western. A transwoman can alter her appearance and her genitalia, but yes, her chromosomes are still XY. Transwomen are women, though. Contrary to what the right-wing claims, you are not feeding delusions, you are respecting someone by referring to them the way they want to be.
