Impulse buying can be okay, as long as you check your vulnerability. If you break up with your romantic partner, you might want to buy that item of clothing that you've had your eye on to try to lift your mood.

Many people, however, get caught in the credit trap and think, "Okay, I've got this card with a huge credit limit, so I'll buy that watch." Then, when the credit card bill arrives, they think, "Oh, sheesh! I can't afford to pay it!"

There's nothing wrong with impulsively buying a souvenir, even if it's a keyring of the Eiffel Tower or the Champs Elysse that says, "Fabrique En Chine" on it. They remind us of places we went and good times we had.
