I'm not vain, but I'm a clockwork autistic. So, everything is done to a routine. I have clothes that I wear on certain days and co-ordinate my clothes to say, "My pink shirt and my beige shorts, my blue shirt and my grey shorts, my yellow shirt and my black shorts," and in winter, "My light jeans and my green shirt," and this colour jumper and so on, but it's all pre-determined. I don't wake up of a morning and think, "What will I wear, today?" I have several sets of the same clothes, or at least the same sets of clothes. My preparation is shave (hopefully, once I transition, I won't have to), shower, put on some deodorant (I don't like strong smells) and brush my teeth. I then comb my hair the same way every day.

Yes, I value myself and take pride in my appearance, but I like things to be easy.
