I'm not saying that after a lifetime of being the odd one out (the only AMAB in a crowd of women) we decide to transition as women to be accepted by or as women and that's the only reason. The motivation has to be internal, not external. What I'm saying is, transwomen want access to women's spaces because once we've transitioned, we want our reality to be accepted and validated, and that means not being viewed as men when we're not men.
