If you've been to Brisbane, you might have heard people refer to sporting events at "Chandler" which is the suburb home to the Sleeman Sports Complex. That complex was named after Frank Sleeman, Lord Mayor of Brisbane at the time of the 1982 Commonwealth Games. Frank Sleeman, 40 years earlier, was a POW in Changi, and while Lord Mayor refused to meet Japanese delegates from Kobe; he sent his Deputy in his place.
Some have written, in hate, that Morrison didn't abuse Grace Tame, and that may be true, but Morrison has hardly been supportive of her cause. In fact, after Brittany Higgins came forward with rape allegations, and women protested outside Parliament House, on International Women's Day, he stood up and smirked that in some countries they shot demonstrators.
If a person supported Frank Sleeman but condemned Grace Tame, they are guilty of double standards.
The Japanese delegates from Kobe would probably be coming to sign an agreement or make a presentation, and the likelihood that one of the Japanese delegates would be one of his former guards would be quite low. In fact, they might not have even been related to his guards let alone been born at the beginning of the war.
I believe that some of it is sexism and misogyny and some of it is the fact that Grace Tame is only young. I have also seen people calling for respect for the Office of Prime Minister, and to that, I say, the utmost respect for the Office Of The Prime Minister must be held by the Prime Minister themselves. Since September, 2013, it has been held by two misogynists, a clown who didn't know the difference between a medication you insert into your rectum and a place to store something and that the country north of the USA is Canada, not Canadia. And after losing the office, delivered a preposterous speech declaring that global warming could be doing more good than harm, and before entering the office, claimed that a bad boss is like a bad father and does more good than harm. No, a bad father does more harm than good and global warming is doing more harm than good, too.
If we can be grateful for one small mercy, it's at least the opinion of hanson has not been sought or made available on the matter, and there you have a female misogynist.
