I would rather 1,000 Josés than one Paul Tibbets, I can tell you that. What is the connection, I hear you ask. Well, I would rather the humanity of a man who was unintentionally involved in the death of a small girl who acknowledged and lived with that guilt, even though he had paid his dues to society, than a cold fish who killed 100,000 people and claimed to have never lost a night's sleep over it.

A lot of my belief when it comes to abortion and my anger towards the likes of the evil trump, and the despicable and deplorable Pat Robertson and Rick Perry is not based around women whose male partners abandon them when they say they're pregnant, but when it comes to rape. Yes, the world would have missed out on the comedic genius of David Jason had his mother aborted him, but I do not believe that abortions for women who have been raped should be denied because some old man believes that the unborn child is "a gift from God," or, "God's way of comforting rape victims," statements attributable to the latter two respective men. Saying that pregnancy from rape is God's way of comforting rape victims is not compassionate, it's cruel.

Another reason why I hold these beliefs is, that movie was one case. Let's assume the woman gives the baby up for adoption, and she tries to heal from the past. And let's imagine 25 years on, the woman receives a letter saying that the now adult child wants to find their biological parent, and the child bears a resemblance to the rapist.

What also needs to be remembered is this. Bella was fortunate that she had a good life. I know a man who was adopted and his story went like this. His adoptive mother's father was a police officer. His adoptive father didn't know about him until he came home from working away and there was a baby in the house. His adoptive mother was a flighty sort of a person, and he would go days without food.
