I was extremely angry with an Australian politician, who's an idiot, who claimed that autistic kids were a drain on mainstream classrooms. That is nonsense. Some autistic kids may need a few simple accommodations, some may do well in some subjects but not others, many autistic kids are bullied. An autistic kid's learning profile needs to be identified and they need to be taught accordingly!
