I remember Australian music reporter and TV Presenter Ian "Molly" Meldrum interviewing Coco Lee on a TV show. Coco Lee was wearing a leather jacket over a boob tube top and a short skirt and boots. My mother said, "That girl would have nothing to fear from Molly." As you may have gathered, Ian "Molly" (nickname from Mollycoddled) Meldrum is gay.

Just like Coco Lee would have nothing to fear from Molly Meldrum, cisgender women have nothing to fear from the overwhelming majority of transgender women.

I can also say, as someone in early stage transition, I would not fear being in a change room with Molly Meldrum, either. Or with any gay man, for the simple reason that I have only ever heard of one gay man who was involved in violent crime against men suspected of being gay.
