I remember a man wrote a letter to the paper, once, wondering why the Pope was named after a company that made water fittings (think Hardie Pope) and I thought, "That's funny. One of the ironies is that the man who went to tell Sir Thomas More that he was going to be beheaded at 9 o'clock on Tuesday, July 6, 1535, was called Thomas Pope, and Sir Thomas More was beheaded because he refused to deny the authority of the Pope."

I think those thoughts are lovely ones.
