I knew a gay man whose partner's mother died, and after his partner's mother's funeral, his father came up to him and said, "I was only pretending for your mother. I don't want to see you again." His partner's siblings haven't seen their father, either, especially after he returned to England and hooked up with an old girlfriend.

I think, if a person thinks their religion is more important than their family, then their priorities are wrong and they're weak. Gay conversion therapy is dangerous and must be outlawed worldwide.
