I have to admit, despite being on a trans journey myself, that when I saw the term professional trans person that you meant a trans person who is professionally employed. And believe it or not, they can also cop a difficult time, like if a transwoman is a doctor.
One thing that people need to get through their heads is, a transwoman and a drag queen are two totally different things. If we take Dame Edna Everidge, she is, in a way, like a drag queen version of Hyacinth Bucket. Another drag queen who I like is Pauline Pantsdown, and that's because she provides a brilliant take-off of a disgusting right-wing politician.
As a trans person, my goal is to be able to live my truth, and secondly, to be accepted. I know that not every woman is going to accept me, BUT most of my female friends to whom I have come out have not been surprised.
