I hated cubs. One memory I have of cubs was having to take my shoes and socks off and having feet feeling like solid blocks of ice on a cold night and us having to skip with two ropes. I was anxious and when I jumped for one rope, it hit me in the head! The leader saw that but didn't stop and ask if I was okay, just kept going. I also remember, one night, a kid glaring at me and saying, "No one likes you."
I had another scary moment at cubs, when I was there and there was a young man, he might have been 16, he might have been 20, and I remember he had dark hair and cold blue eyes. He was standing with two women, and when one of the leaders asked me to go back to the hall to get something, he yelled out that he was going to get me. The women laughed about it, and the leaders didn't believe me. If I'd have been one of the leaders and I'd heard it (they should have, anyway), I would have confronted him and said, "Listen, even if you're only joking, it's not funny. The boys here are all underage, and if you don't clear out of here, right now, the girls, as well, I'll call the police. Is that clear?!"
I HATED my time in cubs.
