I had a landlord who had been a radio technician in the Canadian Air Force in the late 1950s early 1960s and had worked as a plasterer, and who didn't know as much as he thought he did. The house had wires leading to nowhere in the ceiling, and the roof leaked whenever it rained, and his solution was a little bit of plaster over a little bit of plaster. We had the TV antenna done once digital TV started, and he climbed up onto the roof and took down part of the antenna to put on another property he owned! And he worked in bare feet!
