I failed math up until Year Nine at school. I did well in English and Japanese and History, but for a heavy cloud of depression that hung over me. Once I started getting tutoring in Math, I passed and I had someone who understood my way of learning.

Yes, moving from China to Norway is a big move and it would involve a new language, but I'm glad it helped him. Quite a lot of learning in China, Taiwan and Japan is by rote.
