I don't have a daughter, but I have a niece, and, if she has a boyfriend, when she's older, and another guy wanted her attention and it came to a fight, my advice to her would be, "Break up with your boyfriend and tell the other guy to get lost, as well." Why? Because she is not a prize to be fought for, she is a human being and one who deserves love and respect for who she is.
