I can relate to this so much and it explains why I often returned to school stressed rather than rested after a holiday. I had a brother who had to have someone play with him all the time, and my mother wouldn't understand my need for solitude.

I preferred to be alone at lunchtime at school, but this would make me a target for bullies who had no respect.
