I am on the autism spectrum and am transitioning Male-to-Female. I have never felt right about being assigned male at birth, but I have a mother who was very much into the gender roles, and I have a brother who was a boy's own boy. When my mother was a child, she was very boyish. My grandmother used to make her boy's shorts and sailor tops. My grandmother was inclusive in a way that my mother is not.

I am not sexually attracted to men, either. I find most things about masculinity off-putting. Having said that, though, I am more my father's daughter than my mother's daughter.

I was never interested in playing sport or rough house boy games.
