I am not a highly social person and I tend to avoid parties, if I can. I remember being at a party when I was 12, and I ended up talking to a woman old enough to be my mother and we could talk on the same level. I wish someone like Professor Tony Attwood had have been there and he could have said to the host, "Look, Peter is having a grown-up conversation with a woman old enough to be his mother, yet he cannot get on with his peers. So, why would you want to break up a calm situation and replace it with a volatile one?"
