I am exactly the same. I find it annoying if someone says my name at the beginning and end of every sentence, too. I was always unwilling to use a person's name, I would often say, much to my mother's annoyance, "The grey-haired man who lives in the house with the green roof," and she'd say, "But we know that person, so we use their name. So, for example, say, John." I would often say, "My friend said this," and my mother would say, "Doesn't your poor friend have a name?"
