I am an autistic adult, and if I had any autistic kids of my own, hell would freeze over before I would subject them to ABA! It is NOT the gold standard! The gold standard is allowing autistic kids, at school , to find the subjects they enjoy and the subjects that they're good at and be encouraged to excel in them and be given assistance in subjects where they struggle! Furthermore, the gold standard is to see whether autistic kids want a quiet place to eat their lunch or be with other kids!
