I always specify "No Religion" on forms, too. I was baptised an Anglican at nine months of age. I don't bear any resentment towards my parents for doing it, and I know that it was based upon a medieval belief that a child should be baptised young, sometimes on the day of their birth, because of high infant mortality and a belief that if a child wasn't baptised, he or she would be doomed to Hell. We have moved on since then, and my nephew is nearly three and he has not been baptised and nor has my niece. I believe that they should make up their own minds on whether or not they wish to subscribe to a religion and if so, which one.
