I agree with Karl Marx's theory that there would be a worldwide overthrow of Imperial Systems and there would be no need for countries and hence no Imperialist wars. And let's face reality, wanting influence on another country's resources is a form of imperialism and that is what Elon Musk's family did. Elon Musk may speak with an American accent, but he is South African.

People will bring up North Korea when communism is mentioned but people ignore a few other things. North and South Korea were like North and South Vietnam between 1954 and 1975. South Vietnam was a tin-pot dictatorship and until the assassination of General Chung-Hee Park, so was South Korea! What they also ignore is totalitarianism.

How communism can work as an economic theory is, rather than a command economy where a person sits in an office and says, "Okay, we'll make the greatest number of Size Six shoes, and if they sell out of Size 11, too bad," what you do is adjust it to ensure there's enough for everybody.

I remember a former East German telling me that she was 12 when the Berlin Wall came down, and one of the things that astonished her in the former West Germany was that there were homeless people. In East Germany, homelessness wasn't even heard of.
