I agree that she's not hungry for attention, but I think there needs to be a sensible compromise. Ciswomen need to remember that transwomen are not the enemy and nor are they trampling on women's rights. And here's something else to remember, it's a heck of a lot easier for a transwoman to say to her female friends, "Look, there's something I want to tell you. I'm not comfortable living as a man, and I'm living a lie, so I'm transitioning," that what it is for them to walk up to their mates in the change room, or at the pub, over a few beers, to say, "Hey, Guys, there's something I've got to tell you. I'm transitioning." Unless the guys are very progressive, most won't be as accepting. Some will be more accepting of a transman.

Transwomen don't want access to women's spaces to dominate them; they want to be accepted as women, and there are more women who go clothes shopping with a transwoman friend than women who stand waving banners in support of Posie Parker.
