HOW THE MATILDAS PROVE THE DOCTOR WRONG.

I know I said that the ridiculous doctor should be a blip on the radar and that he shouldn’t be living rent free in my head, but one other thing has emerged that needs deconstruction. According to this ridiculous doctor, there is a certain amount of a word that starts with b and rhymes with pitch and is used to describe a female dog amongst women rather than lifting them up.

Human beings are naturally competitive, that much is true, but what contradicts this tosh from this ridiculous doctor is this. Feminism has achieved the right to vote for women from men backing down and supporting them and from women in the suffragette movement and other forms of feminism banding together to achieve these results.

There has been much made about the lack of coverage of women’s sports, but the Australian Women’s Soccer Team, the Matildas, have done very well. On Saturday night, they played in Brisbane, where an up-and-coming talented young woman was in the audience, and she received a hug from the captain, Sam Kerr, and was able to talk with her and even had her autograph! If that is not lifting up a young person, I don’t know what is.

Women wanted to play soccer, and enough of them got together to form teams. Feminism fought to have women’s soccer recognized by and included in FIFA, along with recognition that women are just as talented and as good at sports as men. And this has come about by women banding together and fighting for what they believe in, not, as the ridiculous doctor claims, by the b-word that rhymes with pitch.
