Heather, you're welcome. I know that you're not a militant anti-trans campaigner, like Posie Parker. I was talking to a nurse the other day, and she agreed with what I said, namely, that I don't want to use public bathrooms or changerooms. I'm okay using the unisex toilets at the hospital, but the advantage they have there is that only one person can enter at a time.

My analogy of what it can be like to be a transwoman, unless you have a good supportive network around you, is being a third-generation Japanese American who was raised in Irvine, California and spent some time in a redneck town where everyone drove around in Chevy pick-up trucks before visiting Japan. In the redneck town, someone could wind down the window in their Chevy pick-up truck and abuse you, whereas in Japan, people could think, "This person looks Japanese and has a Japanese surname, but they don't speak the language." "They're third-generation American." "Oh."
