Firstly, most men who rape other men do NOT identify as homosexual! And just like if a man rapes a woman, he is not a sexually frustrated man, he is someone who wants power over a woman. Typically, a man who rapes another man is not motivated by sexual desire, but jealousy. Jealousy because that man was perceived as better looking or because he was more popular, or, for example, the rapist has a crush on his victim's girlfriend or fiancé and it is not reciprocated. So, the man, rather than simply accepting it, wants to destroy the other man. It is seldom the case that a gay man has a crush on another man, and if he cannot convince him, rapes him.

Okay, if you were at a bar, or something, and you wanted to go to the bathroom, and you opened the door and were heading to the trough and someone, known to you or not, seized you from behind and held a knife at your throat and tried to rape you, you can fight back, if they had cut your throat, but not severed the jugular, and you knocked them out on the floor, they would be charged with going armed in public with intent to cause fear, and possibly attempted rape! But if you overreact because a gay person asks you out on a date and is persistent, and you murder them, then that is no panic defence!

As has also been said, many a time when a woman has had an abusive partner, and she has reported him to the police and they have done nothing, and say she is slicing meat or potatoes for a meal and he walks by and hits her or does something else violent, and she stabs him and kills him, she is typically charged with and convicted of murder or manslaughter!

It's all very well to accuse the liberal left or wanting it both ways, but here's what the right-wing needs to remember, if a person kills someone and claims LGBTIQA panic, their allegations will never be proven in a court of law, yet their act of murder will be proven or disproven by the same system! It is also about acknowledging that LGBTIQA lives matter, something that right-wing protection rollbacks, such as those sought by the idiot who was indicted on 34 felony counts this week, will place in jeopardy!
