Extremely well said! When I was at kindergarten, boys and girls played together in kitchen corner, dolly corner and block and car corner.

I remember, when we were going on a tour of the high school, my mother telling me, in a harsh undertone, not to say anything about wanting to do Home Economics unless I wanted to have gender reassignment surgery!

Okay, had my high school had back then what it does now, I would have hoped that they could have said, "This boy is twice exceptional in that he's autistic and has academic talents, but not in math. What we'll do is let him do mainstream math and he can otherwise do the academic excellence program." Rather than mainstream. I hated woodwork and metalwork, and was no good at sport.
