DEMOCRACY IS A DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD.

Winston Churchill stated that democracy was wasted on the average voter and was harshly critical of parliamentary democracy. In my native Australia, the idiot leading the Opposition, when in government, claimed that Parliaments were a hindrance to good governments. He’s never been in a good government, so he wouldn’t know what a good government was. However, that idiot is not afraid to act as a hindrance to a good government when he’s in Opposition.

There is one reality that is inescapable when it comes to democracy, namely, in the Westminster System, the party with the most seats forms government, but voters don’t always vote for the party or the principle that is truly in their best interests. Former Australian Prime Minister, Paul Keating was proven correct, although many of us knew it from the outset, that if the Prince Knighting Nincompoop, tony abbott, ever became PM, we would have to say, “God Help Us.” And that he was an intellectual nobody. The latter was too generous, as an Oxford Education was wasted on a fool, but his only “plan” for Australia was to destroy Labor’s legacy and then fart that the Liberals were builders and Labor were destroyers. Sorry, he got that the wrong way around. Labor had a plan for the NBN, that the Prince Knighting Nincompoop wanted to nobble to appease Rupert Murdoch! Labor had policies to deal with climate change, the Prince Knighting Nincompoop rejected it!

If we turn our attention to the USA, however, there is the distinct possibility that a convicted felon could be President from prison. No, not somebody held under house arrest by a military junta (another area where the Prince Knighting Nincompoop is comparing apples to oranges in a preposterous attempt to empathise with Aung San Suu Kyi. The latter was democratically elected but held under house arrest by a military junta, the Prince Knighting Nincompoop was unable to convince enough Independents to support him to form government in a Hung Parliament and tried every destabilisation trick in the book. The two cases are night and day) but the Constitution does not preclude trump from standing!

His rant at a rally, where he mixed up Obama and Biden and attempted to lay the blame for the war in the Middle East at Biden’s feet should have been laughed off as the ravings of a deluded fool with grandiose arrogance, but they were cheered! And any person who would tell an audience that they were smart is preposterous!

Democracy needs an overhaul and critical thinking skills to be taught, in the hope that no fascist is ever elected.
