CW: non-consensual touching. I remember, one day, my father was taking care of my niece and nephew as my sister-in-law and my brother had to work, and as my mother is disabled, when the shower ladies came, he wanted me to look after them while my mother was having a shower, as he needed to be nearby. He had to take my nephew to the toilet, and he wanted me to supervise my niece. She started crying out for my Dad, and he wanted me to have her lay on the bed and pat her on the back. My niece was only one at the time, and I said that I wouldn't touch her without her permission. He said, "Look, you're her uncle." I said to him, "Yes, but I still won't touch her without her consent. And she's too little." I am trying to show my niece that even at a young age, she has the right to consent to people touching her and under the circumstances.

I remember watching an episode of Australian drama A Country Practice, where a male locum doctor told a young woman to take her bra off. She asked the regular female doctor about it, and she said, "It depends upon whether the bra is restricting access to where they need to examine." The male locum doctor was a pervert who sexually harassed and assaulted two females. The female doctor told the young women that they had the right to refuse to do anything that a doctor asked if they felt uncomfortable.

Women have to be treated like equal first-class citizens and men need to learn that equal rights for women do not mean lesser rights for men. It means loss of privilege in that men do not have the right to non-consensually touch women's bodies without repercussions.
